Global Citizen Journey

Purpose and Description: Global Citizen Journey (www.globalcitizenjourney.org) exists to awaken us to our interconnectedness and the need to be responsible, engaged global citizens. GCJ is a visionary and action oriented project that brings vital energy, support and resources to communities in need while providing a transformative experience for volunteers through citizen diplomacy, peacemaking and service. US delegates join with local delegates for a 2.5 week residential experience, with half the time spent on the work project (such as building a library in the Niger Delta) and the other half in circles that build relationships, as well as cross-cultural and gender dialogue.

Activities: Check out our website (www.globalcitizenjourney.org) for upcoming Journeys, though at present these originate from the Puget Sound area of Washington. You can initiate a project to the place in the world that calls to you by finding an appropriate partner there. Contact info@globalcitizenjourney.org to discover how to initiate a project. Our organization is 100% volunteer and grassroots driven.
