MISSION:
Symphony for United Nations (SUN) was created to harness the power of music for human concerns. SUN is dedicated to bringing people together: musicians, performing artists and diverse audiences for a shared musical experience in the belief that participation in such events can lead to open-minded dialogue and begin a transforming process toward peaceful resolution of conflict.

STATUS:
SUN is an international NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in association with the U.N. Department of Public Information. SUN inspires and conducts concerts and other musical activities which bear on global and local concerns.

WORK:
SUN has a 30-year record of producing and participating in high quality, successful concerts, festivals, concert/seminars and similar events that focus attention on, and/or raises funds for, a variety of causes such as the welfare of children, human rights, the environment, and peace.

SUN's concerts encompass all varieties of music, from classical to popular, rock to rap, folk to jazz.

The organization\'s founder, Maestro Joseph Eger, is Music Director/Conductor of the Symphony for United Nations (SUN) in New York and Florida, and Guest Conductor for Life in Beijing, China.
